I have tried and failed many times to stop. I think I can safely say I am now a non smoker, not a puff since. I dont think about smoking at all, even when my friends go for one on nights out.

I would have been jealous in past attempts and nicked a puff. You still have cravings when the book has finished but they are not as bad as when I have tried cold turkey or nicotine replacement. Also they didn't last for long and were really easy to deal with. I didnt want to scream at anyone!! My husband also listened but he did not quit for long. I think you have to want to stop!

The way he writes is not modern it was written in the s and he was 60 odd , reminded me of my Grandad, which I liked but could come across as patronising at times. Any way, the NHS should give this out at their stop smoking clinics, save them tons of money! I diddnt need to read a second Time but I wanted to try and make sence of how easy he has made packing in this nasty substance.

This book really works, been off the smokes for 2 weeks now. I didn't realise quitting was so easy. Allen Carr is true to his word. I always play devils advocate and i actually had no intention of stopping. I read the book so my fiance would get off my back. Unbelievably i have not had a single 'craving moment' in the past three days since finishing the book! So far this book has worked for me and I suggest every smoker at least give this a try.
