Unexpectedly Yours (A Forever Love Story Book 2)
Not another rich alphahole rescuing a perfectly capable woman. He and Caroline just get some pizza, hang out at his place, get drunk, and have sex. Why is Caroline a year-old virgin? Because college was so hard, you guys! She is known as the smart sister, while Meg was known as the pretty one. Josh is freaked out about being her first time, because it seems to imply a relationship.
Josh goes out with glamorous socialites to high-profile events, sophisticated women who talk about fashion and are fine with casual sex. In comparison, Caroline is inexperienced yet brave, and so responsive! He feels protective towards her, but his libido is right up there, too. She even comes clean about her secret desire to be a romance author. B- This review originally posted on Red Hot Books at: Nov 17, Ellie rated it it was ok.

Being the unexperienced in the bedroom she gets Josh to give her some tips and soon finds her crush blossoming into full blown love. Josh Campbell has always kept women at arms length while he has worked to amass his fortune and success at his family firm.
Saving his sister-in-law Caroline from a jerk at a bar had Josh finally getting to know the shy woman and he finds that he likes her a lot. Caroline brings out a side of Josh he never knew he had and she constantly throws him for a loop. As family and business start to intertwine Josh finds himself willing to do anything to keep Caroline by his side forever.
I had a very hard time finishing this book and found it very anticlimactic. I liked Josh but I had a very big problem with him acting like he knew what was best for Caroline and not listening to her when she said she was okay. The way her family treated her was horrible and her sister needed someone to smack her. Meg was the heroine in the first book in this series and I thought she was just horrible to Caroline and one of my least favorite characters in the book. I was really disappointed with this book and found it sadly boring and predictable.
Nov 01, Cocktails and Books rated it really liked it. When Caroline and Josh run into each other in a Manhattan bar she is just happy he is there to get her out of an uncomfortable situation. Having always had a crush on him, awkward Caroline feels like he is out of her league, but she is surprised and thrilled that an innocent run-in can lead to a night of passion.
Their continued con Unexpectedly Yours: Their continued contact through work means the friends with benefits relationship can go on, but is an affair enough to sustain a life-long relationship? Although Caroline is one the first to admit she is inexperienced and a bit naive, this is reinforced constantly by her mother and sister. Caroline is so painfully naive and innocent your heart can not help but connect with her.
Her insecurity is also one that will frustrate and befuddle you at times. Josh is a gem, and one who Caroline is lucky to find.
His unwavering patience in the midst of her insecurity and problems at work only enhance his likability. Reviewed by Lucy for Cocktails and Books ARC provided by the Publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. Unexpectedly Yours by Jeannie Moon was an entertaining read.

It was a fun, sweet, loving story that has the reader laughing and crying. There is the right amount of conflict and angst without dragging the reader down. Although the plot is predictable, it is well executed with a few unique twist. Unexpectedly Yours is the second book in A Forever Love series.

A Forever Love series is an outstanding addition in the Contemporary Romance genre. Her writing is crisp, witty, and sensual. The reader can relate to the characters, that in normal circumstances would not be drawn together. We meet the awkward, geeky Caroline Rossi. She is smart, directed, and uptight. Josh and Caroline make an arrangement that leads them to love.
Unexpectedly Yours by Jeannie Moon is the perfect kind of book to read during this busy pre holiday season. Nov 19, Jessica Robinson rated it really liked it. I received an ARC for an honest review.
I loved that she wrote about a character that was writing a romance story. That was a great twist on a standard theme. There we're good descriptions and the writing was solid.

I would definitely read more by this author, just not sure I would race out to get it the day it was released. Mar 20, Bette Hansen rated it it was amazing. I love this book! Caroline Rossi has had a crush on Josh Campbell forever, her family grew up on the Campbell estate and her sister Meg is now married to Josh's brother Jason making them sort of family but Josh still only barely acknowledges her existence.
So when Josh steps in and rescues Caroline at a bar one Friday night from her slightly creepy boss Mark, Caroline didn't think for one minute that she would end the night slightly tipsy in Josh's bed. After a night of passion with Josh, Caroline is no longer a 2 Caroline Rossi has had a crush on Josh Campbell forever, her family grew up on the Campbell estate and her sister Meg is now married to Josh's brother Jason making them sort of family but Josh still only barely acknowledges her existence.
After a night of passion with Josh, Caroline is no longer a 27 year old virgin and Josh who has always seen sex as just being sex, panics when he realises that Caroline was indeed a virgin. Josh really doesn't want to be anyone's first he's used to dating glamorous but vacant women but something about Caroline's sweet personality and intelligence really appeals to him.
The next day Caroline gets a little bolder and proposes a friends with benefits arrangement to Josh in which she will help him with the site assessments he needs for his latest project if he teaches her about sex. I quite enjoyed Caroline and Josh's little friends with benefits romance, despite being a smart cookie geotechnical engineer Caroline has led a quite sheltered life and is pretty much told what to do by her slightly overbearing sister and mother.
With no time to date in college Caroline always assumed she would find a boyfriend once she graduated and started working but just hadn't found the right guy yet. I found Caroline to be quite sweet, although maybe a little too sweet at times for me. Understandably lacking in self confidence, Caroline has always seen herself as being the smart sister and has lived pretty much in the shadow of her prettier and more confident sister Meg.
Personally, although I couldn't wait for Caroline to finally stand up to her controlling and interfering mother and sister, I found it quite hard to believe that a woman who is obviously incredibly intelligent, could have put up with still getting treated like a child at the age of Caroline and Josh's relationship isn't obviously as straightforward as they would like it to be with their shared history and family connections but I still ended up rooting for them both especially when Josh sticks up for Caroline and gives her mother and sister what for after they've dismissed her lifelong dream of being a romance author as being a "little hobby".
Overall I did enjoy Unexpectedly Yours it's a sweet little contemporary romance and worth a read. Jul 18, Jen rated it it was amazing. Read the full review on Bookaholics Not-So-Anonymous. I loved how Caroline and Josh had been around each other for years and while Caroline may have had a crush on him, their coming together as a couple was truly unexpected. Even after that one night together, they were able to have this genuine care and concern for each other and formed this honest-to-goodness friendship that proved to be a great foundation for them to have a relationship.
They were sweet to and supportive of one another that I couldn't help ooh and aah. Setting aside my feelings toward Meg, I must say that I enjoyed this second book far more than I did its predecessor. There was drama but there wasn't the kind of angst that was rampant in the first book. There was also this wonderful dynamic between Jason and Caroline that made them such an easy couple of lead characters to fall in love with and cheer on as they worked their way to a happily ever after they deserved.
Theirs was a story about taking chances and going after the things that will bring happiness and contentment and never having to settle for what everyone else thinks is okay. Out of all the five books that I've read in the series so far, Unexpectedly Yours is definitely my favorite. This gets five out of five stars. Jul 14, Josephine rated it liked it. Unfortunately, the book didn't hold my attention.
I found that there were pages of exposition where the hero and heroine were just thinking about the other.
Unexpectedly Yours (Forever Love #2) by Jeannie Moon
And this happened at the expense of actual scenes between them showing relationship development which lead me to skim quite a bit. This also needed a more careful edit. Another issue I had is that I didn't recall Meg being a shrill, annoying harpy like she was in this book. If I had read this first, I never would have picked up Meg and Jason's story.
This felt like I was starting a completely different series than the first book. Feb 23, Lori rated it it was amazing. I was a little leery at first with Josh's story. I adored Meg's words and then Caroline's ackno Absolutely beautiful story!
I adored Meg's words and then Caroline's acknowledgement. Sep 04, Karen rated it really liked it. I enjoyed the first book and it was pretty much standalone but it was still comfortable having had read the first book first. It was running into long lost friends. I really liked the characters and it didn't seem so insta love but more like right time for Josh to feel both comfortable with a lady as friends and also have chemistry. I liked how he was so careful with her but as he saw her strength he took time to admire that about her.
Josh's dad and Mark were great bad guys!!! Sep 30, Amy rated it liked it. Caroline has been in love with Josh since she was Years later they re-connect.
