EMMA DANIELS PARANORMAL LOVE STORIES - 3 Books in 1
Due to the fact Terron I'd give this book 3. Due to the fact Terron males find there 'mate' through smell I get wondering if he was smelling Anita or Ruth. I mean would your smell change if your brain changed? So I wasn't sure if his true mate was Ruth or Anita?
I Married an Alien
It could just be me misreading but I didn't feel these questions were really answered. Saying that I did really like both the hero and heroine and thought they suited each other, I just wish they had spent more time getting to know each other before all the drama started. I'll probably buy the next one in the series as I loved the world that the author built and I think anyone who likes science fiction based romances or books with a good amount of world building would enjoy this book!
Jun 07, Lorraine Lesar rated it liked it. For me, this book was only OK. Ruth was nearing 50 and realised that her life was passing her by and in all that time, she had never really enjoyed it or fulfilled it to any potential. She had a boring job, cared for her mother until she passed away and had never had a boyfriend! All that changes when she volunteers for a scientific experimental program. Something goes wrong, or in this case, right, and she ends up in the future in someone else's body. This body however, is not old and frumpy bu For me, this book was only OK.
This body however, is not old and frumpy but gorgeous.
Everything has a price, right? Her price turns out to be a mate of a very, very large Terron named Jordan. In their world, females were barren so they had entered into a treaty with future earth for possible mates. Now I have to say that I really liked Jordan's character, especially when he realises that his "mate" is in the same room and he has to solve a certain "problem"!
I didn't like Ruth's character so much or her tale. I thought that the author didn't express the confusion that she must have been feeling, she seemed to adapt far too easily, especially when she initiated the mating remember she was a human 50 year old virgin. A one off read for me. Aug 25, Pam rated it liked it Shelves: A freebie by two authors I'm unfamiliar with, so I thought I'd give it a try. It has several intriguing concepts stacked in the plot line, along with two interesting main characters.
I can't say that that story doesn't have a few flaws along the way, but I still want to know where the author is going with the characters and story line to continue reading. There are areas that would have benefited from further development but there's more than enough present to understand what the authors intended A freebie by two authors I'm unfamiliar with, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm certain that some with be handled there. I must say I'm curious.
The Dream Spell by Emma Daniels
I'm not crazy about the above cover but the one that came with mine looks like it belongs with a regency romance Aug 10, Crystal rated it it was ok. While I liked this plot and story line, even enough to purchase the sequel, I gave more latitude in this book as it was a free one. Upon discovering the same lack of editing and abysmal grammar in the sequel, I would implore you not to waste your money supporting an author who clearly doesn't care enough to hire an editor, nor is she possessed of enough writing ability to even know she is wrong, as the same errors appear in multiple works.

Feb 12, Heike rated it really liked it Shelves: I read this book easily through, found it entertaining enough and enjoyed the ideas the writer had about the world in the future. The title is actually the only really bad thing about this book ;- This story is about an ugly older woman who volunteers for a time travel experience and finds herself in the body of a beautiful young woman in the future, about to get married to a handsome man from a different planet.
Lucky her - of course, she doesn't agree with me, at first I would probably read I read this book easily through, found it entertaining enough and enjoyed the ideas the writer had about the world in the future. I would probably read a book by the same author again, but I wouldn't exactly put it on the "must have list". Jun 10, namericanwordcat rated it it was ok Shelves: This book had great potencial but it over complicated itself with the time travel and new body aspect.
I would have just liked to be in the future world. If the writer wanted to deal with the idea of a woman who had lived half her life without really being in her body, I think that with some of the anti aging stuff this could have been handled so that the women were not always so young who traveled.
And the scientist was ickyl. It is worth the This book had great potencial but it over complicated itself with the time travel and new body aspect. It is worth the read. May 19, michael rietman rated it really liked it. Good read Good read I enjoyed this book, it had a completely different take on time travel than I have ever read before, it was unique. I do agree with other reviews concerning the grammatical errors. I was able to ignore most of them, but I found myself having to reread several. Jun 04, M Alexandra Gonsalves rated it really liked it Shelves: I really enjoyed this romance a middle age virgin.
Finds herself in the future in a different body. And finds herself going to a different part of the galaxy.
Where she meets and falls in love with an alien. Who happen to look very human. The story never felt interrupted or fragmented. The time changes were written into the story so well it added rather then detracted. The dreams that Caitlin had of Catherine just flowed effortlessly within the story. It was beautifully done and I enjoyed reading about both periods of time.
This is a love story. One that is charming as well as poignant. It is about the characters finding themselves as well as each other. Learning to love and trust each other. It caught me from the first page and just got better the more I read. The writing was excellent and the story was wonderful. I liked everything about this book. They end up taking them to Maddie's parents cottage, where they have gone for a vacation. That night Caitlin starts dreaming about Catherine and Drew and their life together.
It is as if she is Catherine. The author has done an excellent job of combining the past with the present. We learn about Drew's life through Caitlin's dreams at night, while at the same time seeing what is going on in the present. I started this book one evening and finished it before I went to bed. It did keep me interested, and the story was good. I thought it was very good for a beginning writer, until I looked her up and realized she wasn't a beginning writer! While her storyline is good she is not a writer like Kleypas or Moning. Since I do like this type of book, I will pick up a few of her others.
Dec 06, Krista rated it it was ok Shelves: The dream world is much better than the real world. Daniels should've stuck with life in and done away with the excess drivol, which was completely unbelievable and had enough plot holes to drive a semi though. Karl needs a hot date for a party he is attending, and since Natalie is nothing if not hot, he uses a little blackmail to get what he wants. Natalie can rent the house but only if she attends the function with Karl. I say a few weaknesses because so many other reviewers found so many faults. Personally, the only problem I saw was the minor role played by the ghost. So far as I can tell, his only purpose in life or death as in this case is to set up the sequel, which I intend to order as soon as I finish this review.
I intend to switch from erotic romance to erotic ghost stories and I ordered this book to get ideas on how others are doing it. One person found this helpful. While the editing is much better in this book as opposed to her other books, there still remains a lot of room for improvement.
The story is also full of potential yet the characters seem to fall flat. With all the sniping going on, I found it hard to like any of them. I believe the ghost even had the same last name as a character in another book. I was also disappointed that, for the most part, this novel had almost nothing to do with the ghost. Humdrum would probably best describe the story. Natalie decides to rent a play away from him, to get perspective.

She loves the old cottage near the sea and she struggles to convince the estate agent, the sexy rich Karl Messer, to rent the cottage to her. Karl has a reputation as a womanizer. Despite that Natalie falls for him. Natalie reminds him of his wife that died during childbirth. Natalie was the only one who could see and talks to Sean yet she was mostly very rude to him.
The Book of Emma Reyes: A Memoir (Penguin Classics)
There is not enough paranormal in this story, I feel the author should have written more ghost scenes in, or she could left the ghost out of the story to make it a normal romance story. I actually was going to rate this a 2 or 3 simply because I was disappointed it isn't really the ghost story I thought it would be. Yep there is a ghost, but except for leading up to book 2 he has really nothing to do with this story. I do not consider this a ghost story I would consider this a romance. Book two seems interesting as I would like to find out how Sean's story ends. So I love to read and have been doing a lot of reading in the free paranormal romance section I likes the romance, I liked the characters they were well rounded and easy to empathize with but it would have been much better to leave out the ghost.
I know, I know, what is romance without a ghost? But this story would have been better, much better. This was a fairly simple and straightforward romance story, the type I used to choose for my daughter when she first outgrew her children's books. The author didn't do enough with the ghost in the story, and I couldn't help but wonder why she included him at all. Aside from that, it's a pleasant little story, great for when you just want a bit of light reading to pass a bit of time with when you're in the mood for a short break.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very believable. I would recommend this book to my friends. I'm excited to read the second book in the series. Fun book was somewhat believable if you v believe in ghost couldn't understand why Natalie and Sean couldn't become friends or why her brother Trevor was so mean but it all comes together in the end reading the next book.
