The world building is well thought out and I could easily imagine Eden and the other cities. A Watcher's life is never easy and the gift seems like a curse rather than a blessing even in times of War.
A fitting end to a great series and all the characters stories were wrapped up nicely although I guessed the secret early on. There was some minor editing issues but that didn't detract from the story. I like a series that ends on a high note for a change although not everyone escaped the war unscathed. The Seekers (Book 2: The Watchers Series) by Lynnie Purcell (Paperback / softback, 2013)
I find that offensive. The story was good without resorting to that. If I could give this series a higher rating, I would do so. There were so many heroes to root for and many villains to despise. I loved watching the characters as they evolved from the first book to the last. The world-building was fantastic from Eden to Petram. I have found a new Author I love and will be watching for more books in the future.
Thank you for a wonderful story. I truly enjoyed my time inside your books. I love, love, love this book. I thought I had it figured out what was going to happen but boy was I wrong. This one has a surprise at the end that will knock your socks off.

I have read all six of these books and am very impressed with the writing of this author. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I have been sceptical of reviews like this before but I can tell you that I would gladly pay for them if I had been told how good they are.
This was just a fantastic series. I couldn't put it down. Read all 6 books in 4 days by reading through the night and every possible minute. It was that enthralling. Unexpected turn after turn just kept you glued to each page. The characters are varied and engaging and you rooted and cried as each met with different situation.
This guy is a superb author! Don't miss reading this series. This is the final chapter in this series and I was so glad I took part in it from start to finish I felt like family with these great characters the loss they took and the wins they achieved.
I hope that you will enjoy reading this series as much as I have. May all those that were loss find peace and may those still living find the wars left behind and peace ahead A wonderfully written book to conclude all the crazy, adventurous, and dangerous events of the series. Clare needs this time on her own, she needs to grow in ways she isn't even aware she needs to grow.
Not to mention the introduction of new characters, and the segue into the next book. Someone said that The Seekers should have been condensed into a one paragraph intro in the next book, not possible. That would have made Claire's and Alex's entry into the Saints a little bit harder to digest. Clare needed to see the bigger picture. She was living in a world where the dangers were all about her, and she had no idea how to control, or truly accept, the being she was going to become. She had Daniel telling her about the evil that Watchers relished, but she didn't really 'get' it.
She needed this, and the story needed this. This book is worth the read, and the entire series is staying on my Love It list! Von Reeder Top Contributor: I purchased this book, the second in the Watcher series, as part of the package deal Kindle offers on a book series. I based my purchase on the premise of the first and expected each book to be of the same richly rewarding calibre as the first. The entirety of this second book could have been summed up in less than one chapter and tacked onto the beginning of the third which I've just started.
The Seekers (Book 2: The Watchers Series) by Lynnie Purcell (Paperback / softback, ) | eBay
Book Two was horrendously tedious and did little to enhance the storyline or pull the reader thru the dredge. I have little hope for these final two books in the Watcher line and because of Book Two, I will not be purchasing the Guardian Series. This author has only written continuations off the first to profit her coffers and not to reward her readers for their purchase. One person found this helpful. This writer knows what she is doing!! This is a great sequel to the first book in the watchers series. I loved it and just had to get this book as soon as I finished the first.
I read the first book in 12 hours and immediately read the 2nd book in the following 12 hours. I haven't quite enjoyed a book series like this in quit a while. I love how the story progressed and we the reader learned more about the main plot of the story line, and I love the two main characters even though this book separated them for most of the book, it still was fascinating to read and wonder when a chance encounter would happen again.
It was also great to learn more about their relationship in this book. As we all know that Daniel is a mysterious main character and has secrets, I just didn't expect the one that Clare found out in this one, my heart went out to her, and also my understanding went out to Daniel, because his secrecy had been because of pure reasons, his love for her. This book added new characters and more details to the overall plot. The writer did a great job planning out this book, i never once got bored or had to take a break out of annoyance.

She did a great job! Now about the end of the book, I will not give too much of a spoiler, but I have to say that the ending has me a bit worried just like our main character in the book. I had to buy the 3rd installment of the book and I cant wait to see what is going to happen next. Another fantastic read and a must buy! You will not be disappointed!! The first time I read through this book, I was disappointed that there was no Daniel-Clare teamwork. I thought it too away from the storytelling. I am now ready to admit that I was wrong. The events taking place in this story are very necessary for Clare.
She needed this time away from Daniel to discover who she can be without her support system She also needed to realize that she can let others in Even her relationship with Daniel is uncertain because she learns that the initial basis for their friendship was a lie. Everything and everyone Clare holds dear are severed from her, and she is in danger of being caught by Marcus or sold into Lorian's side of the war.

The ending is shocking and one heck of a cliffhanger. If you don't like the book on your first read, read it again with an eye for what I've written.

You will find it to be a really good read. I recommend this book and The Watchers series. I absolutely loved "The Watchers" and was so excited to read the next in the series. It seemed like pages and pages were spent on just filling space, the plot wasn't nearly as interesting or exciting. Also, it seemed like the author was trying WAY too hard to add pop culture referencesand none of them seem applicable to a modern teen. Every single movie, tv, or music reference that her teen MC used was from the 80s. And I don't think most teens today would have a clue what she was even referencing.
Crocodile Dundee, N Sync, "party like it's ", these were just a couple of them. Not one single modern reference to pop culture was used. And on top of that Several parts just didn't seem to be in character. I ended up feeling like this entire book was just filler for where she wanted to the story to end up. The first book flowed seamlessly, this one was a constant shout of "I'm trying too hard to be cool and hope no one notices it isn't very interesting. See all 83 reviews. Most recent customer reviews.
