A tri is on my to do list. I took a masters level swim class that I have to admit, scared me off of triathalons though. Swimming with so many around me in a competitive way makes me nervous, but I will get over it eventually!

The most imporant aspect of this book is the whole-body approach to the training. You won't see simple things like "for stronger legs on the bike, perform leg curls. And by incorporating the whole body, you will go a long way towards maximizing your racing potential even for an average performer like me, this is important , but more critically you increase your chances of remaining injury free. I feel like I finally have a way to encorporate meaningful strength training into the the rest of my triathlon training plan.
I started the first phase - Anotomical Adaptation - this week! Very good book with excellent research. I've read through twice - and I think I understand how it all works. The exercises are a combo of one's I have seen before and new. Great discussion of levels and dynamic vs. I think this will be very helpful in my training. I will admit that putting it all together is a bit confusing - and I will update if this changes.
